Take a walk down Sydney Street Kilmore this weekend and experience all that is happening ….. at the Memorial Hall, the Kilmore Art Expo is holding their annual exhibition on both Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 April, featuring over 300 quality paintings and a wide range of other visual artwork, photography, glass art, jewellery, woodwork and metal sculpture. All work is for sale. The Cafe at the Memorial Hall offers delicious lunches, morning and afternoon tea, as well as yummy cakes and snacks, so arrange to meet a friend there. Admission to the Kilmore Art Expo is $7 including catalogue, door prize ticket and access to artist demonstrations.
The Opening Night for the 2019 Kilmore Art Expo is at the Memorial Hall on Friday 12 April from 6.30pm. This is your opportunity to preview and buy exquisite artwork, see the award-winning presentations, enjoy snacks, drinks and good company. One of the Kilmore Regional Buskers, classical guitarist Alejandro Aguanta, will be playing whilst visitors chat and enjoy the artwork.
At 9.30am on Saturday 13 April, bagpipes will pipe in a variety of talented performance artists to compete in the Kilmore Regional Busking Championships. They will be performing at various locations along Sydney Street Kilmore, from 10am to 3pm. You can listen and watch the perfomnaces and vote for the people’s choice in al three categories. The Busking Finals Concert which is FREE will be held at the Kilmore Racing Club in the John Kelly Pavilion between 4 – 6pm on Saturday.
Throughout the weekend, the Old Kilmore Courthouse will be open, encouraging people to explore local history both at the courthouse and with self-guided street walks.
